They're just besties.

Despite rumours from fans that they are dating, Love Island's Jacques O'Neill and Antigoni Buxton appear to be just friends. Since leaving the island, the pair have been spending time with one another, and last night the dating speculation was fuelled when they attended an event in Manchester together alongside Liberty Poole, Lucinda Strafford, Tina O'Brien and Lucy Fallon. However, an Instagram post shared by them both shortly after Jacques left in the villa has made it clear that they are just very good friends. The pair posted a series of photos of them together, as well as a few of them having brunch with their mothers. The caption reads: "Made a real one for life (...) took our Mama's [sic] for brunch." They added: "Also why do we look like siblings here." Antigoni has also referred to Jacques as her "bestie" in the caption of a photo on her Instagram story. Despite making it clear that they are just pals, many Love Island fans have suggested that they would make a cute couple. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgM8QKFI1j5/ On Twitter, one fan shipped the pair, writing: "Obsessed with the idea of Jacques and Antigoni." Another wrote: "Antigoni and Jacques are literally inseparable outside the villa. I am actually here for them." After leaving the villa, Jacques issued a statement saying that he understands why he received criticism for his actions during the show. The rugby player had been coupled up with Paige Thorne, but left the villa following the arrival of Adam Collard. At the time, he said that he felt he couldn't be himself on the show. He has since shared that he feels like he is in a "much better place" with his mental health, and he thanked fans for support.
