Sophie Turner shut the trolls down quickly

Thousands of fans flocked to see the legendary band perform for the first time in 15 years, but Turner is probably one of few who faced backlash for it.

The Game of Thrones actress posted photos from the concert on social media and was met with backlash for leaving her kids at home.

But we can't help but wonder if the same would've been said if her ex-husband Joe Jonas had attended the show.

Why are mothers always slated for having a life outside of parenthood, but nobody bats an eyelid when it comes to the father?

Trolls were quick to slate Sophie for 'forgetting' her children, but the actress quickly shut them down.

One person wrote, "Lmfao. I think she has forgotten that she has two kids."

Sophie replied: "Ah, I’m so sorry, sometimes I forget some people can’t think for themselves. So… Get this…There’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day."

Turner's followers backed her up following the trolls cruel messages.

One wrote, "Having kids and still being me - that's the dream."

"Me and my husband went to the concert and left our 8 year old with his God parents for the night.... we loved the concert.... he loved spending time with them... Parent's are allowed lives.... go get yours," another wrote.

One added, "Is it that incomprehensible to you that her children might have other trusted care givers asides from her? The dad perhaps? Is it that strange to you that a dad look after his own children every now and again?"

Mams are allowed to have lives. They're allowed to be something other than a parent too, and that's something people need to realise.
