Barely acceptable if you’ve been ‘going out’ with someone for two weeks at age thirteen, it’s definitely not the way one should go about ending a marriage. But that didn't stop Russell Brand.

The long-haired lothario’s ex-wife is the cover star for the July issue of Vogue, and in the popular magazine she has opened up on how her brief marriage to Brand crashed and burned.

Stunning singer Katy Perry told the magazine, "He's a very smart man, a magical man and I was in love with him when I married him. Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011."

She also hinted that Russell wasn’t ready for a strong woman, saying; "I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but when they get that equal they're like, 'I can't handle it.'"
