Ryan Tubridy has shared an update after his mother Catherine was rushed to hospital. The broadcaster revealed his mother was taken in after a "bit of a fall".
Due to the accident, she will now miss his last ever Late Late Show.
Speaking on his RTÉ Radio 1 show, Ryan Tubridy confirmed his mother was doing well and was "in great hands".
"I want to wish my mum well this morning particularly because she had a bit of a fall.
"She's going to miss my last Late Late Show which I'm pretty sad about, to be honest with you."
The presenter also confirmed his mum will miss his 50th birthday party because of her hospitalisation.
"She’s going to miss my little birthday gathering with my family, but that’s okay.
"We’ll bring the cake into her. No candles, but I want to wish her well if you’re listening in this morning mum, which I know you are."
"I love you very much and I hope you’re doing okay because you’re more important than all these things," Tubridy added.
Tubridy's final Late Late Show airs on May 26th. The lineup has yet to be confirmed, but viewers believe Paul McCartney could make an appearance.
