Is this criticism unduly harsh?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry established the Sussex Royal Instagram account to share official updates with fans. For the most part, it’s been received well but a couple of royal commentators have weighed in, saying that there have been a number of grammatical errors. Chatting to E! News recently, royal expert Melanie Bromley, said that there is a website which points out the mistakes made on the account and apparently, this happens regularly. The Express quotes Ms Bromley as saying:

By the way, they keep making mistakes on their Instagram. Apostrophes in their captions there keeps being some grammatical mistakes. "There is a website that points them out every single time they post".

Ouch. Many believe that Sussex Royal is run by Meghan herself although there is no official proof. This isn't the first time criticism has been directed at the account either. Speaking on podcast Royal Obsessed, Kaitlin Mensa, a writer and co-host of the show, described grammatic errors as her "pet peeve". Teething errors at the beginning of any project are to be expected though so this criticism a little over the top? Meghan Markle is currently on maternity leave and although she briefly appeared at the Trooping of the Colour celebrations last weekend, she's not likely to take up official royal duties again until the end of the summer. The next time we might see baby Archie and his parents could be his christening which is rumoured to take place next month. The Queen departs for Balmoral, her Scottish residence at the end of July every year returning in October so if the christening doesn't take place before she leaves, they may well hold off until her return.
