Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton and her husband Adam Dirks are getting ready for the pitter patter of tiny feet.
The couple, who got married in August 2013, have announced in a video that they are expecting their first child together, a baby boy.
“We have a little surprise for you… baby on board!” she says at the beginning of the clip, uploaded to her website and YouTube.
“It’s been a pretty crazy last four months… Life’s kind of going to be changing and we're starting to prep for bringing a new being into the world.”
The 25-year-old, who lost her arm in a shark attack back in 2003, adds that she’s 22 weeks along and has been surfing throughout her pregnancy.
Speaking about becoming a mum and dealing with her physical disability, she admitted: “I think there’s going to be things that will be very challenging with one arm but I’ll just have to find my own way.”
