Prince Harry and Meghan went on a rare date night in LA.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a rare public appearance at a basketball game in LA last night and the pair look happier than ever. The couple smiled and waved to fans during the Lost Angeles Lakers game. The rare public date night comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed Harry would attend King Charles' Coronation alone. Meghan has decided to stay home in California because the Coronation falls on the same day as her and Harry's son Archie's birthday. Harry may be flying to London for the celebration, but he has no plans on sticking around. Recent reports said Harry would return to California as soon as possible so he can celebrate Archie's birthday with him. Meghan Markle stressed that she is not skipping the event because of "racism rows" but has opted to stay home with her children. She issued a rare statement after The Telegraph claimed she wasn't attending the Coronation because of "unconscious bias" in the Royal Family. Her representative said: "The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present. "[She's] not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. "Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. "We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating."
