Well, this is just delightful news.

If you were looking for some feel-good news that might pick you up on this blustery Wednesday morning, we may have just the story. Mairana Varela and Fabiola Valentín who respectively competed as Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico in the 2020 Miss Grand International have gotten married. The pair met at the beauty pageant and subsequently developed a relationship together. In an emotional post on Instagram,  they shared their happy news. Accompanying a video documenting their time together so far, they wrote: "After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day. 28/10/22." We also get a glimpse of their home decked out for a wedding proposal, a few shots of their engagement rings, as well as a final video of them embracing on their wedding day outside a civil registry office. Abena Akuha, who represented Ghana and was crowned Miss Grand International, was among their well-wishers in the comments section. She wrote: "Omg congratulations MGI brought together a beautiful union." Responding to the kind comments they received, Mariana wrote: "Thanks for all the love! We are very happy and blessed. I wish you that the love you are giving us is multiplied! Endless thanks." Mariana and Fabiola both ended up in the top 10 of the pageant, and have been working as models since then. We're wishing them a lifetime of happiness together.
