Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has spoken about the affinity she feels for Britney Spears, and how she would love to play her in a film about her life.
Like Britney, Millie found fame at a very early age, and has had to learn how to navigate life in the public eye.
Millie spoke about their similarities in an interview for The Drew Barrymore Show.
"I think her story resonates with me," Millie said. "Growing up in the public eye. Watching videos of her, watching interviews of her when she was younger."
Millie suggested that Drew, who was also a child star, might relate as well, before adding that she'd love to play Britney in an adaption of her life.
"I see her scramble for words and I don’t know her but when I look at pictures of her I feel I can tell her story in the right way," Millie said.
Millie has previously addressed one aspect of fame that she finds deeply inappropriate, and that is the way in which fans sexualise teenagers.
On The Guilty Feminist podcast, Millie said: "[It’s] really overwhelming. I have definitely been dealing with that more in the last couple weeks of turning 18.
"[I’m] definitely seeing a difference between the way people act and the way the press and social media react to me coming of age. It’s gross.
"I have been dealing with that — but I have also been dealing with that for forever."
More recently, Millie has spoken about the importance of boundaries in friendships, and she cited her relationship with her Enola Holmes co-star Henry Cavill as an example of that.
She said her relationship with the Superman actor has "terms and conditions".
"I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me," she said.
"I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, 'Millie, shut up. No.' And I’m like 'Understood.' Whereas with the Stranger Things kids, it’s different. There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings. But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate."
