Another royal style rule.

It seems that there's a lot of rules associated with the royal family and the latest one doesn't sound very fair. Apparently, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are restricted when it comes to jewellery and can only wear certain items at certain times. Like seriously, can you deal? Apparently, there's a reasoning behind this rule and that's so that they don't appear too 'flashy' in public. Okaaaaaay. Royal expert Myka Meier has explained why they abide by this particular regulation and it's all a bit mad really. In conversation with Express.co.uk, she said:

"Other jewels are worn pre-6pm. Before 6pm, you’ll see metallics, gemstones, pearls, sapphires. "At night, you’ll see the diamonds come out, and that’s in order to not come across as flashy in your appearance".

So many rules when you consider that dresses and skirts are preferred to pants and that colourful nail varnish is a no-no, UGH. However, there's one exception to the rule and that's their engagement rings, they can be worn at all times. This does seem to be the case though for you always seem them wearing their engagement rings but the larger jewels, particularly earrings and necklaces are generally reserved for special occasions.
