"I die every time I dance."

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has torn the base of her spine and slipped a disc in a horrific injury. The star, 27, recently appeared on Saturday's episode of The Search to debut the group's new single. When a fan asked Perrie on Twitter if she had recovered from the dance choreography yet, she revealed that she had suffered the injury. “I recently found out I have a slipped disc and tear in the base of my back/spine and I die every time we dance," she said. "But it’s worth it." The injury has come as Perrie gears up for the release of Little Mix's sixth album, Confetti, next Friday. A source told The Sun that the singer will not let her injury affect the band's work over the next few months. “Perrie is in pain with her back but she is soldiering on,” they said. “It is a very uncomfortable injury to have but she’s not going to let anything put a stop to Little Mix’s mesmerising performances — not on their BBC1 show The Search nor the EMAs. “For now, it’s business as usual and they are all eager to do the best performances of their career to showcase their new tracks.” Perrie appeared on The Search over the weekend alongside bandmates Jesy Nelson and Leanne Pinnock to promote their new single, 'Sweet Melody.' Jade Thirlwall was self isolating at home due to Covid-19 pandemic. She joined via video link and expressed sadness at not being able to attend the event. Little Mix's upcoming album, Confetti, is due for release next Friday.
