Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant with her and Travis Barker's first child.
Kourtney Kardashian is reportedly "doing okay" as she recovers at home from urgent fetal surgery. The mum was rushed to hospital last week due to pregnancy complications, but her medical team acted quickly and saved her baby's life.
The businesswoman said knowing her son is safe in her tummy is the best and most reassuring feeling.
Sources close to the Poosh owner said Kourtney is "doing okay" following the harrowing ordeal.
An insider told People:
"[She] was very scared after finding out that her baby needed a surgery."
"She is doing okay now. She is still resting at home with Travis," they continued.
Kourtney reportedly didn't want to talk about what was going on but has since opened up about her son's surgery.
She bravely told her followers about the health scare:
"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock.
"And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.
Kourtney explained that she had three easy pregnancies before this one so the urgent surgery was incredibly overwhelming for her.
"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery."
Kourtney also took the time to praise other parents who have been in a similar situation.
"I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.
"Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing," she added.
