Jonathan Wilkes has thanked fans for their love and support during what he described as the worst week of his life.
On Saturday the presenter and actor revealed on Twitter that he and his wife Nikki Wheeler had lost their baby.
He wrote: “It’s with great sadness that I have to tell you are heartbreaking news, that unfortunately me and Nikki have lost our baby xxx
“I can safely say this has been the worst week of my life. !! We will stay strong .. Thanks for all your best wishes xxx [sic].”
Last night he took to Twitter again to thank everyone for being there. The post read: “The love and support Me and my family are being shown at this difficult time is overwhelming thank you all so much xxxx.”
Jonathan and Nikki, who tied the knot back in 2004, are parents to an eight-year-old son called Mickey.

He also founded Soccer Aid, a series of celebrity football matches to raise money for charity, with best friend Robbie Williams.
