Johnny Depp has thanked his fans for their support during the recent defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard. Last week, a jury ruled in Depp's favour, concluding that Heard had defamed him with a 2018 op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post - in which she claimed to have been a victim of domestic abuse. The actor joined the platform on Tuesday, racking up 7.2 million followers overnight, to share a message that he's ready to "move forward". The short montage featured clips of fans holding signs of support and cheering for Depp during the trial, alongside footage of him performing onstage.

Throughout the trial, TikTok was full of videos from supporters of both Depp and Heard vocal about their opinions on daily events. Meanwhile, Amber Heard issued a statement in response to the video. "As Johnny Depp says he’s ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are moving backward,” a spokesperson for Heard told People magazine. “The verdict’s message to victims of domestic violence is… be afraid to stand up and speak out.”
