The 85-year-old chatted to Piers Morgan about the recent news that people were taking offence to the popular Christmas tune, Baby It's Cold Outside.
Critics have claimed that the tone and some of the lyrics in the song, which tell the story of a man trying to convince a female guest to stay over, are "rapey". Joan defended the classic saying it was "ludicrous" to suggest banning it. She spoke about seduction saying it's "not going to be allowed any more" and continued:
"I mean, is somebody going to have to ask permission to the parents before they can kiss a girl? It's absolutely becoming out of control and it seems it seems to have happened in the last two years."
Both she and Piers Morgan agreed that "the world's gone nuts" and no one can make a joke about anything anymore. What do you think about Joan's comments in the GMB interview? Finally out of my sickbed and off to lunch in outfit 19 of my #CountdownToChristmas #fashion - vintage @RalphLauren suede skirt and faux fur hat and gilet. pic.twitter.com/uBrolfzT1D
