Chappel Roan performed to her biggest Irish crowd at Electric Picnic
Chappel Roan performed to her biggest Irish crowd at Electric Picnic over the weekend, and her fans had nothing but praise for the Midwest Princess.
Her performance at Stradbally was a far cry from her intimate gig at the Olympia in 2024, proving that the only way is up for the Grammy winner.
To mark her milestone gig, Irish designer Joanne Hynes created custom items for Chappel Roan. This included a Midwest Princess cushion, which we now need for our own home.
Speaking about the honour of creating custom looks for Chappel Roan, Joanne Hynes said it was an honour.
She wrote on Instagram, "A pleasure to dress Chappel Roan and make pieces for her.”
Hynes created a t-shirt, leather gloves, a custom-made headband, a statement necklace, as well as a black dress with pearl details for the singer.
She also decorated her dressing room with custom cushions.
Joanne Hynes said the singer "loved all of it and took all of it with her" following her headline set.
Writing on Instagram, the Irish designer praised Cora Crisham for organising the honour.
"The items were left in Chappell’s dressing room in Stradbally, which was organised by Cora Crisham, who works behind the scenes at Electric Picnic.
"The devil is in the details, as they say. Hard to see detail here, so sharing my one-off “crystal and metal” linen cushions custom-made for Chapell Roan.
"Just wishing now that they are gone to the states that I had a duplicate cushion to auction for charity."
"The cushion pieces I designed for Chapell are on natural linen. She enjoyed them backstage at EP at the weekend, and they are now lounging at home with Chapell Roan!"
It's incredible to see Irish designers being given honours like this.
