Actress Zoe Saldana has said that she wouldn't diet or lose weight in order to get a specific role.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actress said "I don't like to f**k with my body like that. I think it's marvellous when actors do, but I know I don't have it in me to not eat, or to over-eat. I would rather shoot myself in the foot".
Zoe's co-star in Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt, lost 60 pounds to play Star-Lord in the upcoming Marvel movie and she praised him for this but says she couldn't do the same.
"This is not invalidating what Chris has done, he had to go through the transformation and it was a spiritual thing as well for him, and he looks fantastic".
The 36-year-old also spoke of her admiration for actors who lose or gain weight for a role but return to their original weight after filming ends.
"I really admire actors like Christian Bale and Jared Leto who go up and down, but they're gifted, and once they're done with that movie they go back and look like who they are.
"I don't think that would happen to me. I love Shake Shack (fast food) too much, as well".
