TV presenter Holly Willoughby has revealed that This Morning put cameras in her house at the start of the pandemic as they didn't know if they'd be able to shoot in the studio. In a recent interview with Radio Times, Holly spoke about the uncertainty that the whole This Morning team felt as Covid-19 came to the UK. Fortunately, they never had to use the cameras in the end, as the ITV morning show continued to shoot from the studio throughout the past year. "When this started, we had as much fear and anxiety as everybody else," Holly Willoughby said. "At one point, we had cameras put into our so we could broadcast from there if we couldn't get into the studio." Her co-host, Philip Schofield, added that the team had to strip back majorly to comply with Covid-19 health and safety guidelines. "We watched the team drift away and suddenly it was just Holly and I getting ready in make-up - and that was like a therapy session." Philip added that he wanted to use the programme to reassure viewers, rather than panic them. He said: "Right from the start, we said we didn't want to do hysteria broadcasting. Not doom and gloom, but honest and challenging." Elsewhere in the interview, Holly spoke about the insecurity she felt when she joined the This Morning team. "I only ever felt comfortable in cookery and fashion," she explained. "I was so scared of asking important questions for fear of looking stupid. "I was quite young and I think some people were questioning whether I was the right person for the job. Luckily, Phil believed in me from the get-go."
