Love Island viewers have been reacting to the news that 22-year-old Harrison Solomon has quit the show.
The contestant had been criticised by viewers before his exit, with many saying he should be axed from the show due to his toxic behaviour.
Following news of his exit this afternoon, fans have all been saying the same thing about Harrison.
Harrison had been slated by viewers over how he treated both Toni Laites and Lauren Wood.
Viewers are all in agreement that it is the right decision and that the show will be better without the 22-year-old.
One wrote, "Harrison quitting love island has to be some of the most solid news I’ve seen."
"No harm really. He was so toxic," another said.
"Harrison’s quit love island?? I’ve prayed for times like this!!" another wrote.
The insider shared: “It’s been a momentous few days for Harrison, and ultimately, he has decided to quit. Everyone was so shocked, and people were crying and hugging him.
They added, “Harrison left the villa late on Thursday night and will be heading home soon.”
“He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now.”
Women’s Aid spoke out about the toxic behaviour on the show and encouraged viewers to keep calling it out.
Speaking about the controversial reality show, Women’s Aid’s Jessye Wener told The Tab:
“In recent years, Love Island and other forms of reality TV have been repeatedly called out by viewers for allowing in contestants that had a history of abusive, coercive and manipulative behaviour in previous relationships.
“Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls.
Wener said more must be done to educate Love Island contestants on sexism and misogyny.
