The mock sign-off comes days after Clarkson claimed the BBC approached him to rejoin the show a week before announcing his replacement with Evans.
Taking a sly dig at Chris, Clarkson revealed he has plans to join his previous co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May to launch a rival long-running motoring show:
