It's very easy to take a shot at someone online. The vile comments about my weight and just all round look tonight are quite shocking ....

... Have never said I'm the prettiest or thinnest or even anything special... But thank god I'm not horrible... Cool attitudes ?? — caroline flack (@carolineflack1) November 22, 2015
Even though she's been in the business for 12 years and knows all about criticism, she told The Mirror recently that she was overwhelmed by the horrible comments and was even reduced to tears.
“I cried after the first live Sunday night. The reaction was quite overwhelming because I didn’t think people would be talking about how I look, how I stand, how I walk, or how I laugh."
She continued, "Not everyone is going to like you all the time, not everyone is going to think you’re beautiful, but there is a difference between opinion and abuse. Opinion is fine but I need to stop giving the negative people air time because they love it."
While in general she does her best to grin and bear it, she did say that it's not always as rosy as it appears on social media, “I can have the worst day ever but I’ll post the happiest picture of myself. My life is like a sad film."
Speaking about her future on The X Factor she said, "I haven’t decided about doing it again yet, but everyone knows you don’t talk about X Factor until later in the year.
“But I do want to do new things, and I like working. I’ve always wanted to do something a bit more musical – I auditioned for Chicago, which I got, but the timings didn’t work. I’ve also always wanted to do a documentary about being a twin, something more factual.”
We're looking forward to seeing more of Caroline in the future!Explore more on these topics:
