Brad Pitt was attacked and punched in the face at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent last night.
The actor had accompanied his partner, Angelina Jolie who plays the title role in the film, to the event. They were posing for photos and signing autographs when the incident occurred.
"Some guy jumped over the barricades and made contact with Brad Pitt," Officer Nuria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department said when speaking to

Police identified the suspect as Vitalii Sediuk, who allegedly tried to crawl under actress America Ferreira's gown at the premiere of
How to Catch a Dragon 2 earlier this month.
Pitt was unhurt and resumed signing autographs after the attack. Sediuk was arrested on suspicion of battery and is being held on $20,000 bail, according to
