Fans aren't happy.

BBC is facing backlash from Sarah Harding fans after they made a very noticeable error when it came to her tribute. While paying tribute to the late Girls Aloud star on BBC Breakfast on Monday, the show misspelt her surname. Sarah's friend Lizzie Cundy paid her respects to the singer on the show, while a caption ran under her segment saying "Lizzie Cundy, friend of Sarah Hardy." Fans were left upset by the blunder, which occurred only 24 hours after the singer's death had been announced. The mistake is believed to have been of human error, but nonetheless, fans were not at all happy about it. One Twitter user said: "BBC Breakfast interview regarding the death of Sarah Harding put up a caption saying Sarah Hardy. So important to get those details right, especially when dealing with grief. Do better." Another added: "I can't believe they got that wrong, then didn't apologise! So disrespectful!" The star had shared her cancer diagnosis with fans last year and sadly passed away on Sunday, with her mother breaking the news on Instagram. She wrote: “It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away. Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. "She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved. "I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead.”
