Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared an update following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The professional dancer confirmed she has started treatment after discovering she had cancer earlier this year.
The dancer posted a photo of her smiling in her hospital bed on Instagram.
Amy wrote, "Step one to beating cancer! Rrrrrrready for this fight.
She also said she is determined to return to the Strictly dancefloor but is focusing on her treatment for now.
"More determined than ever to get back on the dance floor," she added.
Amy's Strictly family showered her with loving wishes following the update.
Musician Tom Fletcher wrote, "Sending you all the love today. Us Fletchers are right behind you."
Nikita Kuzmin added, "Love you! You got this beautiful."
"Love u sis," Kevin Clifton also shared.
One follower, who was also diagnosed with breast cancer, shared: "Best wishes to you, Amy. I got my breast cancer diagnosis in March and had a mastectomy 2 weeks ago ahead of chemo. You will be fine, be kind to yourself, and take all the help you need."
The professional dancer confirmed she had breast cancer at the end of May.
Amy told her followers she was heartbroken by the news, but is determined to get better.
"Hey all, I've got some news which isn't easy to share. I've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer but I'm determined to get back on that dance floor before you know it," she wrote at the time.
The Welsh dancer joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
