Adam McKay, the director of The Big Short, was in Dublin recently and I was lucky enough to chat with him.
He has directed some of biggest comedies of the last two decades, including Anchorman, Step Brothers, The Other Guys and Talladega Nights.
Now he's back with his latest movie, The Big Short, which he directed and co-wrote. It's based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis, which documented the collapse of the global economy.
I sat down with Adam to chat about The Big Short, working with Steve Carrell and his next big project with Will Ferrell and John C Reilly.
Adam is up for the Best Director award at this year's Oscars. When asked which other director he would like to see taking home the coveted award he chose Irishman Lenny Abrahamson, who directed Room.
