He impressed everyone with his abs and performance in 300 and while he may not have reached quite the same heights with any of his films since, Gerard Butler’s personal life seems to be soaring.

According to American Star magazine the 43-year-old heartthrob is planning to get down on one knee and pop the question to his girlfriend, actress and model Madalina Ghenea.

 

Gerard Butler is rumoured to be planning a proposal sooner rather than later.

The couple, who have only been dating for eight months, are reportedly taking a trip to Scotland where Butler is rumoured to be doing the deed.

The Playing For Keeps star revealed recently that he is keen to settle down and start a family as soon as possible.

 

He has been dating Madalina Ghenea for eight months now.

An insider told the publication: “Gerard is crazy about Madalina and he really wants a baby as soon as possible.

“He’s scared of getting any older before having a baby – he knows time isn’t on his side.”

While it might mean he’s officially off the market, we do like the sound of a potential celebrity wedding and baby!
