With the days getting colder, shorter and just all-around more unpredictable (seriously, what's with the weather lately?), there's nothing quite as tempting as curling up with a good book. And, while there have been plenty of amazing books hitting the shelf this season, there's nothing quite like reading a spine-tingling, bone-chilling book — especially around this time of year.   Here are 9 scary books that are guaranteed to give you chills.

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix 

Patricia Campbell's life has never felt smaller.
