This Vitamin C serum has been a game-changer for my skin

Vitamin C skincare products have been growing in popularity recently, and we're not surprised.

Vitamin C products can brighten and firm your skin, which can give it a much-needed boost in the winter months.

But how do you know what products are right for you?

Skincare expert Ciara O'Droighneain, Dermalogica Ireland Education Manager, spoke to Her.ie about adding Vitamin C into your skincare routine.

"It has the ability to stimulate collagen, as it can regulate the production of collagen. Vitamin C also inhibits the enzymes that break down collagen," says Ciara. 

One important thing to know before introducing it into your skincare

"One thing to note about Vitamin C is that it's highly unstable meaning that it can oxidize in the bottle before you even use it.

"You want to make sure you choose the right Vitamin C product that doesn't oxide, like Dermalogica's Violumin-C Vitamin-c Serum, so your skin receives all of its goodness."
