The Boots Ingredients Retinol eye cream retails at €9 for 15ml. This is half the price of the RoC Retinol Correxion eye cream, which boasts the same ingredient and purpose.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is used in skincare for its ability to alleviate dry skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and also speed up the healing process for wounds. It's also perfect for someone who suffers from dry skin and scabbing.
Boots have a Hyaluronic Acid Moisturiser which is €5 for 30ml. The Ordinary doesn't include hyaluronic acid in a moisturiser but it does have a serum with it and this is €12 for 60ml - although there is not much in the price difference here, Boots is still coming in cheaper.
Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid is often applied to pimple-prone areas of the skin. It helps the skin shed dead cells and reduces both redness and inflammation. By shedding the dead skin cells it can also help with unblocking pores.
The Salicylic Acid Cleanser in the new Boots range can be used every day to clean the skin and reduce the reappearance of spots, and only costs €5 for 50ml. The Ordinary's Salicylic Acid face mask, although still very reasonable, is double the price.
If none of those tickle your fancy, there is lots more to try from multi-biotic moisturisers to Bakuchiol serum. You can view the full range here.
