The sun has arrived! One week after the traditional "start of Leaving Cert" heatwave, summer weather made a welcome return to our usually damp and drizzly Isle. As well as ditching a few layers of clothing, we dusted off the flip-flops for their annual moment in the sun... then promptly realised we were in dire need of some quality foot pampering. Cue the arrival of the new Scholl Express Pedi with Diamond Crystals. It was clearly a sign. 

The Beauty Brand Scholl is a brand that's synonymous with footcare, launched in 1906 by Chicago podiatrist William Mathias Scholl. With over 100 years of experience in the business, it's hard to imagine a brand that knows more about feet. We put our toes in their hands, as well as some cracked heels and dry skin. Not literally - that would be kind of gross. The Beauty Break-though As one of the hardest natural minerals in the world, diamonds are naturally brilliant exfoliators... not that you'll often get the chance to scrub yourself with a few carats.  The Scholl Express Pedi with Diamond Crystals is an electrical hard skin remover and works with a new self-rotating diamond crystal roller head to buff away very hard skin quickly and painlessly.   The Beauty Budget The Scholl Express Pedi with Diamond Crystals will set you back €49.99. Not exactly cheap, but well worth it if you want to knock an expensive pedicure habit on the head. There are two refill heads available, the "Extra Coarse" and the "Regular Coarse" (€12.49 each). We also tried the Velvet Smooth Foot Soak (€9.49) and the Velvet Smooth Intense Serum (€9.49). They Say: A new edition to the Scholl Express Pedi range, the Scholl Express Pedi with Diamond Crystals is now even more efficient thanks to its different refill heads for effortlessly soft and beautiful feet. With a self-rotating roller surface furnished with finely ground diamond crystals, it removes superfluous calluses more effectively and is gentler than ever before. To buff away hard skin in minutes, simply roll across the affected area with light to medium pressure for beautiful and luxuriously soft feet. We Say: For most women, feet will never be the most attractive body part, (unless you're into that - in which case, good for you!). That said, when it becomes time to don the summer sandals we can all become a little conscious about the neglect our hard-working feet have seen over colder months, bundled away as they are. The Express Pedi is pretty simple to use, and tough to hurt yourself with - good news for anyone with a fear at the thought of an electrical file! We loved the Foot Soak and the Serum. Though it's very unlikely they'd will become part of our daily routine (ain't nobody got time for that) for a once a week/fortnight treat, the kit is perfect for a home pedicure while you binge on Netflix.
