Trends come and go all the time, while there are constantly new ones cropping up every week, or at least it seems it, some always spring back. And this summer's make up trend is no different, it's nothing new but it is something we haven't seen for a long time and we honestly couldn't be happier to see its return. The now-viral sunburn blush is something you'll be seeing everywhere this summer, and it might easily be the simplest make up look you'll ever try. The technique is simple, all you need to do is apply your blush across your cheeks and the bridge of your nose to give that sunkissed look. Rather than trends that have been appearing over the last number of years where we put it on the apples of your cheeks or higher up the cheekbone to give a more lifted look, the aim here is to make it look much more natural. Giving that natural and effortless look we all strive for in the summer months, it's a great alternative to actually getting your face burned. “It gives an effortless summer feeling as if you were laying out for a few hours and then quickly got changed for dinner,” celebrity make-up artist Nina Park, the mastermind behind Hailey Bieber's take, told Vogue. “The whole vibe around this season is the skin being naked and under the sun even though we [do our best] to avoid it,” French based artist Violette added. “We all like the sun-kissed effect on our skin, but now that we’re being safe with the sun, we’re going to use make-up to recreate it. It really brings something that’s fresh and genuine to the look.” Blush is obviously the key ingredient to mastering this look, but the rest of the skin is just as important. For this, you'll want to warm up your face with a powdered bronzer to give a glow to the skin. To really keep it natural, avoid foundation and just use bronzer and concealer. When it comes to the blush, simply swirl it on the cheeks and swipe it over the bridge of your nose gently, adding more wherever you feel you need. Cream and liquid blushes work best for this look as they blend the most effortlessly, but a powder blush is never a bad thing. When it comes to picking a shade for this, go for something with coral, reddish, and pink tones. If you want to, you can add a small bit of highlighter to the high points of your face, like the brow and cheekbones, places where the sun would naturally catch the light. And that's it, it's that simple and will have everyone turning their heads as you sit out in the sun this summer.
