Pumpkin latte's have become synonymous with autumn over the last few years.

Mostly thanks to Starbucks' PSL, we've seen everything from pumpkin spiced candles to pumpkin spiced deodorant over the last few weeks, with there no way to escape the cinnamon-flavoured scent. And now the pumpkin latte is making its way into our skincare - yes, really. The Wicklow Street Clinic in Dublin recently announced they would be offering a Pumpkin Latte Facial for the remainder of October. I recently went to the city centre clinic to try the Pumpkin Latte Facial and, honestly, I think my skin will never be the same (in a very, very good way). I'll be the first to admit that my skin has been thrown into havoc by the ups-and-downs of the recent weather - it's been taking an average of three serums and moisturisers for it even to feel some semblance 'normal'. But a little more than 24 hours after my treatment, I've gotten loads of people asking me what I had done to my skin - and my face has never felt better. The pumpkin latte facial at the Wicklow Street Clinic is designed to revitalise the skin and restore radiance. Rich in Vitamin E and Omega 9 nutrients, it also restores the skin's natural moisture balance. So, really, it's the perfect treatment for when the weather gets a lot colder (aka: now). Rosie, who looked after me on the morning I went in, made sure to walk me through the products she was using on my skin, step-by-step. She began the treatment with the CalmSkin Cleanse and the Mangosteen Cleanse from organic skincare company Éminence, before following it with the Stone Crop Mist and Fizzfoliant. These made sure that my skin was perfectly prepped for the next step of the treatment: the Yam and Pumpkin Peel, which would remove the dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of pigmentation. And yes, it smells absolutely amazing - no, really, it smelled almost good enough to eat. However, the enzyme peel also has a bit of a tingling feeling when it's on your skin - which can make it a bit distracting. Once the peel was removed, Rosie did an extraction - which, having never had one before, was probably the part of the facial that I was the most nervous about. But Rosie was incredibly patient with my squirming (I really couldn't thank her enough for that), and made sure my skin was spotless and that my pores could properly absorb the products. The next step was the Pumpkin Latte part of the facial: the Pumpkin Latte Mask. And yes, it actually does smell like a pumpkin latte would. The hydrating mask is full of Vitamin E and Omega 9 nutrients, which combine to fight the appearance of environmental stress on your skin - as well as the signs of ageing. The mask stayed on my skin for around ten minutes or so, giving it enough time to properly soak in. Afterwards, Rosie rinsed off any residue before topping off the facial with a gorgeous smelling day SPF - which, she told me, was important to continue to use for the next few days due to the peel (not that particular SPF, but just one in general). All in all, my skin felt a lot fresher and lighter at the end of the treatment. It now has an incredible glow and, honestly, feels the best it has for ages.
