Vick Hope releases International Women's Day t-shirt range

Vick Hope has released a limited edition t-shirt collection to mark International Women's Day 2025.

The BBC Radio 1 presenter has teamed up with Amnesty International UK and three female artists for the 'Threads of Resistance' range.

They selected artists from three countries where women are heavily affected by conflict, Halima Aziz (Palestine), Dar Al Naim (Sudan) and Tiffanie Delune (the DRC) to represent each region.

The designs showcase the three country's rich culture, while shining a light on the devastating crises and hardships that women endure when caught up in conflict.

The t-shirts in the unisex collection are available to purchase from Everpress and are priced at £28 each, with money raised going to Amnesty International UK.

Vick said to Grazia: "The three regions I've highlighted – Sudan, Palestine and the DRC – need an urgent focus right now, due to the dire conflicts which have been ravaging them for so long, and which too often go under-reported in Western media.

"As grim as the situation is, I also want to spotlight the beauty and creativity of women, which even in times of war, is a constant inspiration. This is why this T-shirt collection, Threads of Resistance, is so important to me, because we amplify women’s voices and ensure their artistry and work are showcased on a global platform, celebrating the brilliance of women from these regions."

There's three designs to choose from, which are available on a white or black t-shirt and sizes extra small to 5XL.

Aziz's t-shirt showcases her Palestinian heritage, identity, culture, history, and traditions.

She said: "Each brushstroke tells a story of the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle for liberation. [I want] to keep the Palestinian history and spirit alive. I often use intricate tatreez embroidery patterns, which carry ancestral stories, as well as symbols like olive branches and doves to represent peace and resilience."

Delune's design is inspired by Maya Angelou's poem 'Caged Birds', with the abstract artwork showing the rich, lush landscape of DR Congo and highlights the strength of Congolese women by depicting them as birds flying from their heart-shaped cage.

While Dar Al Naim's design celebrates the strength and resilience of Sudanese women who continue to resist, rebuild and rise despite conflict.
