Racked named the new trend earlier today, and it's really pretty. Celebrities were spotted on the red carpet wearing tightly packed shiny metallic eyeshadow in the inner corners of their eyes. This technique is not necessarily new, as makeup artists often use a brightening shimmery shadow in the inner corner to open up the eyes and make the face look more awake. This is just a much more extreme version of the pro tip, with inner corners adorned with glimmering gold and silver shadow, and we love it. We feel like the makeup was more in keeping with the theme of the evening than the fashion was, with many people saying that none of the outfits really pushed the boat out enough. It is a costume gala after all.
