It’s a serious perk of the job here at Her.ie towers that we get to try and test some of the latest and greatest beauty releases and call it work. Lucky us. Here is a heads up on three products that got a communal thumbs up from the team in the week that was…

Skin Food, €11.25 (75ml), Weleda
If it’s good enough for Victoria Beckham…
This bargain beauty buy is rumoured to be one of Posh’s go-to products, without the Posh price tag. This unassuming packaging hides a formula that’s loaded with natural ingredients that Hollywood stars have trusted for decades. With organic sunflower seed oil and extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula and rosemary, your skin will soak up the best of what nature has to offer. The fresh fragrance (sweet orange and lavandulae) is a bonus too. This is a great one to pick up if your skin is especially dry. A little goes a long way with this one too, so the 75ml will last you a lot longer than you might think.
Available from
http://www.cloud10beauty.com/, Nourish Health and Beauty Stores, selected independent health Stores and pharmacies nationwide.
Louise Kennedy Eau de Parfum, from €95, Brown Thomas
This Eau de Parfum has been created by Irish designer Louise Kennedy to celebrate 30 years in the fashion business. Her first signature scent, the eponymous perfume is a romantic, floral bouquet with refreshing top notes of geranium bourbon, mimosa and Rose de Mai underscored with bergamot and lemon. Kennedy fans can pick up the perfume in The Marvel Room at Brown Thomas Dublin and 56 Merrion Square priced at €95 (30ml) or €135 (50ml).
La Laque Couture Colour Collection, €450, YSL
Yes, before you say it – we’re fully aware that there are very few women reading this who can afford to splash out €450 on nail varnish. BUT WE CAN DREAM, DAMN IT. If you happen to win the lotto this weekend, this might be one of the many lovely luxury beauty buys worth splurging on. You’d have a colour for every possible outfit with this stunning collection from YSL. Twenty-four beautiful shades in a gorgeous box that would look so very lovely on our dressing table (which, incidentally, was much cheaper than said box). Santa we’ve been really, really good. Honestly.
