The countdown is officially on!

It's almost time to take out the denim shorts, trusty wellies and bathe in a sea of glitter as Electric Picnic is just around the corner and our excitement is sky high. Now given the Irish weather, outfit planning for festivals can be tricky and extra socks are always vital but something we can rock regardless of the elements is amazing makeup. Taking inspiration from all the biggest festivals of 2017, Coachella to Glastonbury, we have compiled some popular makeup ideas that are quick and easy to do in your tent.

1. Glitter Brows

A simple slick of the wand across your brows and this look is ready to go, perfect for when you have little time between acts.

2. Cheek Stars

This look is a firm festival favourite. Our top tip is to buy stars that "peel off" to save yourself time messing with glue.

3. Rose gold highlighter

Breaking onto the scene this year, we LOVE rose gold highlighter and wonder how we managed without it. Simply apply like your normal bronzer or highlighter by sweeping the pressed powder across your cheekbones.

4. Face gems

Sure it wouldn't be a festival without some face gems. Go mad with this one in any style you like or copy festival guru Vanessa Hudgens and opt for a classic brow crown.

5. Ombré lips

This one takes a little bit more practice but it's still super easy. Apply a dark lip liner to the rim of your lips and a lighter shade to the centre and simply smudge the outside liner inwards to create this ombré effect. A handy tip is to buy an ombré kit to ensure the colours compliment each other.

6. Glitter freckles

Anything glitter ALWAYS works for a festival, just remember not to go too OTT. A simple dusting under the eye with eyelash glue always looks great and holds very well.
